This year 42nd Central Kisan Mela was organised at our Getalsud Demonstration Farm, Angara, Ranchi on 13 and 14 February. The Sponsors of the Mela were as given below : a) NABARD, RANCHI b) National Horticulture Board c) Directorate of Mustard and Rape Seed, Bharatpur, Rajasthan e) Department of Welfare, Govt. of Jharkhand f) Petroleum Conservation and Research Association (PCRA) On inaugural day, the mela was inaugurated by Swami Lokottaranandaji Maharaj, Trustee of RKMath and RK Mission and Head of our Kamarpukur centre and Sri Sanjany Senth, Hon'ble MP, Ranchi in gracious presence of Sri Sudesh Mahto, MLA, Silli, Sri Anjani Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Patna and other distinguished guests.It was presided by Swami Lokottaranandaji Maharaj, Trustee of RKMath and RK Mission and Head of our Kamarpukur centre. On the concluding day, the chief guest of the Mela was Sri Rajesh Kachhap, MLA, Khijri Assembly Constituency, Sri Jatashankar Choudhury, Director, Jharkhand Higher Secretary Education Board, Sri Jay Nigam, DGM, NABARDand the other honorable guests.Rev. Swami Atmapriyananda, Vice Chancellor, RKMVERI presided the meeting. In the mela, different private and government agencies, educational and technical institutes put up their stalls to showcase their products to the visiting farmers and common people. Special stalls with live demonstration of different agricultural technologies were there for effective transfer of knowledge to farmers.
